I had been looking for a place on a lake near Fairlee for a while. Either a house or buildable property. What I found was 1.4 acres with 278 feet of lake frontage. It is located adjacent to Treasure Island, just a little east of Hive. There are two cabins, servicable but historic. I had my camera with me when I saw the property last week (my birthday -- May 3rd) and took a few snapshots.

This is a view of the first cabin from the driveway area. (the driveway actually belongs to a neighbor but we use it) This cabin is in better shape than the other, with a two year old roof and a fieldstone fireplace and chimney.
Looking past the front of the first cabin toward the second. You can see the lake at the right.
Looking back at the second cabin from farther along the shore.
The view over the second cabin toward the lake, from a possible future homesite. The end of Treasure Island protrudes into the lake from the left.
Same view from farther back.
Inside the second cabin.
The front porch of the first cabin. The second cabin is visible throught the screen.
The neighbor's house just beyond the first cabin.

That's the first pass. (May 7th, 2002) Closing is scheduled for June 24th, and we are way excited. There are many more photos, but these tell most of the story. Stay tuned to this station for breaking news as it happens.
